Our environment has a big impact on our well-being. Parkside Psychology Perth offices are a private cosy office set in the “Amity” building built in the 1920’s. The building oozes character and charm, and the Parkside Psychology rooms have been lovingly set up to support the wellbeing of everyone who enters. Set a small stroll from Kingspark it allows clients to reflect before or after in nature, alongside walking sessions/mindfulness practise where suitable. Containing plants and pictures of nature, calming green colours and the warmth of natural timbers the space itself will assist a state of calm. Being a small office privacy is assured with separate wait areas for those who prefer.
The APS National Schedule of Recommended Fees 2024-2025 has the standard 46 to 60-minute consultation fee at $311. To ensure accessibility session rates are typically offered below this and reviewed annually. Our current rates are $250 - $270 per 50 minute consultation.
An eligible referral is required by a GP (Under a Mental Health Care Plan), Psychiatrist, or another medical specialist if you wish to access a Medicare rebate (up to 10 rebates per calendar year). The current Medicare rebate for Clinical Psychology appointments (50min +) is $141.85 and the rebate for Psychology appointments (50mins +) is $96.65. Rebates are also available from most private health funds. Please check with your health fund to determine your level of rebate and requirements. Please note you can only claim either a Medicare rebate or a private health rebate for each session (ie. not both).
If you have any enquiries or are ready to book an appointment, we welcome you to contact us directly. Please note, we have a preference to be in contact with our clients/supervisees directly from the start to ensure a good fit and establish rapport so when you reach out we will be contacting you directly. Due to the nature of our work consultations we are often unavailable to answer your call immediately. If we don’t answer, you can leave a message or alternatively send a text or email for a quicker response. We understand it’s often hard to reach out, so we endeavour to get back to you ASAP. If you are enquiring about an initial appointment/new referral providing brief information about specific support needs and your best contact days/times will be most helpful.
